List of cars with most horsepower?

My googling has failed me--is there a list out there that ranks production cars with the most horsepower?

I'm mainly curious as to where the CTS-V with 556 HP ranks with competitors in its price range. I can't think of anything even within $40-50k within its price range that has more (the Corvette Zr1 may be the next cheapest).

Shelby GT500 Super Snake is about $72k($45k + $27K post production) and almost 800 hp. This probably doesn't meet your 'production car' requirement, but I was watching vids of one recently and thought of it when I read your post. I too did not find a list of what you seek.

Is horsepower your only goal? I've found that there is a LOT more to the driving experience than horsepower.

My dream daily driver would be a Factory Five GTM.... about $30k-$40k completed.
