All right, here's a list of things Costco should do stat:

1. Express line for those with 5 items or less.

2. More medium-sized clothes!!! Who buys these XXL-size parachutes anyway? They are always laying around there while all medium-size clothes are gone in an hour

3. Ban people with checks. That's it, no personal check-writing. If you enjoyu it so much, have your checks filled out while you wait in line. Don't fish around for your checkbook in your bag for half an hour, and then spend another half-hour scribbling with your geriatric hands. There's such thing as debit card. Use it.

1) The vast majority of people at Costco don't buy 5 items or less. It's defy the business purpose of having a warehouse. Will never happen.

2) They get the XXL in bulk because no one obviously ever buys them. XXL > M quantities. Fat people shop at Costco too.

3) For business purposes from the companies I've worked at, most accounting departments like checks for expense reimbursements as opposed to debit/credit card bills.

Aisle police. I want them to ticket people who are walking, leave their cart in the middle of the fvcken road to jiggle over to the free sample counter.

Maybe a red stamp on their forehead so the sample people know not to give to them.

Some costcos have self checkout lines (that actually work, unlike most grocery stores), maybe that takes care of the express line.

At least Costco prints their info (and $ amount) on the check for you, all you have to do is sign. If I had to wait for people to fill out the whole damn thing, I'd be ready to slice them up with a sharpened edge of my AMEX.

1. Why even go?

2. Ever think that maybe everyone buys all the regular sized clothes? There is a reason they are cheap at Costco...they are the sizes left over.

3. At Costco the register prints your whole check for you... you only have to sign it. Educate the retarded people that are in front of you. It will save you time and they'll probably thank you for it. I can sign my check as fast as you can put in your PIN.

Drop the 'check your receipt' gig on the way out

Smaller shopping carts

Bigger Parking spaces

Trams to take you from your car out in the boonies to the store (J/K, but, damn that place is always so crowded).

Stores have had this feature for years, but, not fully compatible with the carbon copy checks if folks still use those. Agreed though, drop the whole check thing. Take debit cards.

i agree with you on the express line. sometimes they have the best dvd prices or i just want to pick up a huge bottle of grey goose and thats it. express line would be handy then.

my other improvement? must show a costco card when purchasing food from the food court. im tired of standing in a long-ass line to buy a hot dog or a churro or pick up a pizza for my family when i have a feeling that there are people holding up everything and they are not even members.

all that I would really like is for them to accept all types of credit cards..I had to get an Amex just to use there.

during Business/Executive hours open more than freaking 5 registers.

at least here in san jose, both the almaden and senter rd locations. Its annoying, sure you get 1 hour lead time but 15-20 minutes is standing and waiting in line to check out.

at 1pm/2pm its a ghost town, almost ever register open and you can pick which ever one since there hardly anyone.

Costco never answers my suggestion though at the suggestion box. I submitted this nearly a dozen plus times.

I just want them to accept more types of CCs as well. I pay by check because I didn't want another credit card when I signed up.

I have no other complaints, even the check the receipt business doesn't really bother me. The store has roomy isles compared to others I've been in and I like the simple layout. I just shop during weekdays and its no problem getting around.

I do suppose it could be a problem if people purchase large items ($1000+) with the debit cards. I'm not sure if many people's ATM transaction limits are that high.

Costo sells several high priced items (Washer/dryers, TVs, computers, etc) that people might still have to write checks for if their debit cards have low daily limits (and they don't call to raise them for the day).

Of course, why wouldn't you want to use an AMEX and get cash back/points instead of a check is beyond me.
