Actually, it's 5 channel analog output because the the MP3+ shares the same jack for the subwoofer and the center channel.

Software and the shiny box... Honestly, the 5.1 cards are a waste of money unless you go for the Platinum.(then again, for that price, I'd get a GTXP) If you want to save money, get the Value, and if you want a better card, get a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz.
