Greetings!
New here and somewhat of a newbie to PC building. But I have a question about cooling, and case configuration.
1) I was planning on implementing a water cooling system to cool 2x GeForce 8800 GTS and a Q6600 CPU. But the blocks for GPU are freaking expensive (~$100.00 a pop). But since I?ll have 2 GPUs, do you think I?ll be able to get the performance with the GPUs without OCing, thus requiring extraordinary cooling? I plan to OC the CPU to 3.8 or 4.0, but if I don?t have to OC the GPUs to get great performance, it?ll save me a ton.
2) I was planning on gutting my old full-tower Xpider ATX case, but I thought I?d make sure it can be done. Albeit some aesthetic differences in the front of the case, it seems to be identical to mine. Purchased around the same time too (2003).
