Anyone ever used it? My gym will not allow chalk. I know I should go find a new one, but I don't feel like driving 45 minutes to go get my lifting done. So before I order some liquid chalk I was just wondering if it leaves a mess, and if it actually helps?

I used to use it when I had to lift at my high school gym and they didn't allow chalk. It actually did work well and didn't leave a mess.

Drew, did it last any longer than the normal powder form? I end up losing at lot to the knurling when I deadlift.

I've used it. I ordered it from Titan Support. It was OK. No mess, but eventually my bottle dried out before I used it all.
Personally I just ignore the "No Chalk Allowed" signs...

I would too, but there are cameras all over my gym so I'd get caught lol.

Can you join a real gym?

A lot of "real" gyms have irritating no chalk rules. I've been to the vast majority of the gyms in the Seattle area, obviously my powerlifting gym allows chalk, otherwise, I've only been to one that does. My regular gym I go to is a huge (and very expensive...thanks for the free membership, work) that used to be used by pro sports teams, and they don't.

Of course, like Eric suggested, they have to catch you...

There are other gyms around, but they are all over 40 minutes away. The one I go to is about 10 minutes away. Although when I think about it their power rack doesn't fit my height at all. It's either too high or do low for me to unrack for my bench press and squats which isn't a problem yet, but as I keep progressing on stronglifts it could become a bigger issue.

There is a powerlifting gym about 40 minutes away in Aurora, but I would just embarrass myself there.
