Lip Ring

As the title says...i took my lip ring out that ive had for a few months. Ive continued to clean it when its out and i have a question about using vitamin-e to reduce the appearance of the scar...i took it out 2 days ago and its closed up but im not sure if i should start using vitamin-e now or wait a few more days.

has anyone used vitamin-e to heal piercing scars or any scars for that matter?

When I cracked my head open, the surgeon told me to rub something with vitamin E on it after he took the stitches out. I was stupid and didn't do it, but that's what he said. Which I read as, "as soon as the wound is closed, put stuff on it."

i cant stick my ring back through it, but it stings when i clean it still sometimes. hmm.

Wait till it don't sting anymore then use the vitamin E. I had a friend with severe wounds and that's how they took care of it and you can hardly see them now, it took months of putting it on every day though for the scar to be almost invisible.
