Lion King DVD: Was it ever in a slip case?

Kind of a random question, I know. I could have swore that when it was first in stores a few months ago, they were all in slipcovers (you know, the paper ones that they put the dvd case in, like beauty and the beast came in, and pirates of the caribbean comes in). I bought a copy today, no slipcover. Just wondering if I'm crazy, or if they just stopped putting covers on after the initial batch.

I believe they did, yes, but mine's at home, so I can't make sure for you.

yes, they were all in slipcovers. If you didn't get one in a slip cover, it means someone else jacked it.

When I bought mine it had a slip cover but today I saw a bunch at Frys that did not have this cover on it. I guess they stopped making them.

Yup Yup. Have The Lion King right in front of me and bought it the Tuesday it came out. I think they stop making the slip covers after a while. Sort of a special thing I guess.

They are no longer in the slip cover. They know come in a box with a velcro flap.

All the ones in best buy yesterday were in nothing, just a regular dvd case.
