ok I have 2 machines set up on a windows network for quite a while now works fine.
So on the second machine I have set up fedora core3 on the slave drive by itself and am trying to get it to see the windows machine.
#1 priority not screw up exsisting network when I boot into windows xp instead of fedora.
#2 priority when I do boot it into fedora to be able to share files on that same exsisting network.
have installed samba and enabled it have installed swat and turned it on and set what seems to be the important things ie workgroup ,shares, guest login. Do I want it set as standalone, member of domain or domain controller was unsure about that one
nmnb is not running and doesn't start when I tell it to..this has to be running right?
and I should probably turn off firewalls on both sides till I can get this going i spose.
suggestions,help,tips,free pizza all appreciated.;)
