Linux users: what's a good linux book for ubuntu?

my brother likes ubuntu and i thought maybe getting him a useful linux (ubuntu) book would be a decent idea for christmas. what are your thoughts/recommendations?

You probably can't go too far wrong with the official Ubuntu Book, though I don't know how good it is at general Linux and *nix style system theory; but it should be good for an Ubuntu user.

Other than that, O'Reilly has a good(and generally well deserved) reputation for tech books. Get him one that sounds tailored to his skill level and you can't really go too far wrong.
 
You also might want to check out the O'Reilly hacks books, I evenbelieve they have an Ubuntu Hacks edition.
