Since this is the HT forum, here's an HT answer for that particular question....
Step 1. Take a 400W or more PSU and a bunch of bare-end wire colored Red, Yellow, and Black. The higher wattage the better.
Step 2. Connect all the wire to each socket of the molex connectors on the PSU based on the color of the wire except for one. Make sure the PSU is unplugged before you do this.
Step 3. Connect the un-wired molex to the HDD.
Step 4. Connect the wires from the wired molexes to the IDE interface in this order: Starting from upper right and heading left, Yellow, Red, Yellow, Red... until you run out of yellow and red. Then match the pins below with all the Black wires.
Step 5. Strip the power cord of that thick rubbery stuff. In the middle of the cord, you'll find at least two thick wires. Make sure that wire is bare metal.
Step 6. Take your shoes off.
Step 7. While holding the bare power cord, preferably one wire in each hand, plug the PSU into the wall and turn it on.
Voila! no more Linux....
And if that doesn't work...
Step 8. Take two bare metal objects (something like thick wire stripped down) and take one in each hand, then shove them into the wall socket.
