Linux sysvinit help needed

I'm used to Slackware's rc scripts in /etc/rc.d. I've just installed SuSE 7.0 and it uses sysvinit. How do I make a program run at startup? It seems way more complicated than with Slackware.

Never mind...I hacked together a solution based on a webpage's instructions.
