linux still dont like or love my beloved motherboard!

K, i have been trying forever to get linux to work on this new mobo. On bootup some reason my usb shuts off and my NIC dont even connect to the net. Now the control panel in mandrake or knoppix says eth0 has a module and also the usb has a module but none works. I know on my old mobo i had the same nic and it worked getting online. I have manually setup the pc also w. dns/ip/ect. , so if u can help me get my pc online btw im on the same pc whihc i have linux on ;0 HELP ME also im noob and some ppl say to complie a kernal :/ grr help me

now if i could get my f*cking usb working in linux i can try my usb nic card and go from there b/c the usb nic came w/ my modem. Now its not a str8 usb to the modem andi used it b4 and it works the same as a pci nic. Now why can ig et usb wtf. it says loading usb grr ;/

w00t im on linux right now. But i gotta find some place to dl it im on a cd verison right now means it runs from the cd rom. Ths distro is called SuSe and my usb and onbaord nic works! ;0

What distribution were you using before that didn't work? Also, what kind of hardware are you running in there. We need that data if you want any coherent tips.

its ok im not doing linux now ;0 i got desktop x and other skinners. But SuSe works fine. And mandrake and lycrois and knoppix didnt work.
