Linux SMB and Win2K Pro

I have a Linux system with a 1.2 GB hard drive in it. It is shared using SMB, and I map a network drive to this share on my Win2K Pro machine. When I look at the drive properties, it says that it is a 1.37 GB drive. Is this a problem (if I try to copy more data to it than what space is there, will I get an error or will it simply corrupt the data)? Is this a bug on the Windows or Linux side? Anyone?
