I trying to run seti 3 in linux and speeds are great so far(4 hours for a duron 600@1000) but I couldn't find any program like setidriver for cacheing the WU's. This would be helpful as I have to dial in from home..
somebody has mentioned of some script on the main page of seti website but I couldn't find it.
can somebody give me some information regarding this?
thanks,zzzz

Is this you only machine? If you have more at home, and they are networked together, the linux machine could get its WUs from SetiQ running on a windows machine.

If that is not an option, I remember reading about a linux prog that does what your looking for. I think it is called setiherder. You can find links to both on the Seti team page :link

I tried all those programs, most of them are for monitoring clients on different machines , I didn't see anything for cacheing.(I just want to have a program as simple as setidriver!)
Somebody must have created something like that by now!!

Most of us use SetiQueue, a Dos program. I have it running on my Win2k box and my lone linux box accesses it. I don't think there is a linux specific caching program, unless you can use that one DOS emulator for linux and it would work- again SetiQueue is just a normal Dos app.
