Linux Server Help

Hey, I feel like an idiot asking this but.
I installed linux mandrake 7.2 (custom:server) on my POS compuer to screw around with linux. The install worked and I am trying to set up a web server.
If anybody knows of a good step by step setting up a web server guide (looked, couldn't find any) that would be great!
Step by step meaning:
'CD /dev/www/'
'LS'
'pico (instert file name here)
etc, etc
It wouldn't have to be that specific, but the more it is like that, the better.
Hell, any linux server tutorials would be apreciated 😀
Thanks,
Mike

There are a few places but most are not for the novice. I do not know your level of knoledge - I guess you are getting started if you are looking to experiment. Try linuxdoc.org. The how-to's are fairly good but I do not know if you will have success. Since you have mandrake, go to the mandrake campus at mandrakecampus.com - there is great help there to get yourself started. I remember a guide in Apache (as mentioned in a previous message) which has a very straight forward document on how to set up a web server. (Am I right to understand that its a point of sale machine? let me know if you get it to work)

Good luck

When I said POS i meant (peice of sh*t. LOL 🙂 I guess that that was kind of unclear. I will go to the sites that both of you mentioned.
Thanks for your help,
Mike
