Hi,
I'm pretty much a Windows-only developer. I want to set up a Linux box just for fun, though. The box would ideally just be for serving (PHP), and so what I really want is Red Hat Enterprise Linux or SUSE Enterprise Server 9. The problem is these products AREN'T free. What the heck is that? I though the whole point was that Linux was free. Anyway, I was wondering what a good, free, server-oriented distribution of Linux would be. I've installed Mandrake before, but it seemed like it was more desktop-oriented. Since I am not a Linux guru, I was hoping to just install a server distro so that I wouldn't have to do any - or minimal - optimization/tuning.
Thanks,
Andrew
