My question is a simple one...I've got RH8 running with a 9600 pro. Right now its using generic 128 MB VESA drivers. bummer.
I've looked for drivers for linux, and found them on ATI.com with no problem....Only there seems to be a lot of conflicts with RH8 and this particular card. Furthermore, the utilty that i download from here, which is supposed to tell me teh version of xfree86 im running simply doesn't work...
So basically, do you have this config. running? Or can you point me somewhere with the correct drivers? It would be much appreciated. thanks.
btw, i'm pretty sure i've got version 4.2 of xfree86...but i need to be positive before i go for the install...This is a work machine so I can't really risk doing a driver update and not havin X working....thanks!
