dd if=/dev/cdrom of=filename.iso
Will the above command (catered to the unique system, of course) recreate an ISO image that will have the exact same md5 sum as the original download (assuming no other changes to the CD)? I have burned some ISOs to CD and deleted the original files. Now that I have 40GB of space to fill, I want to host said ISOs and forget about the CDs. I want to use ISOs (vs. Nero nrg, Adaptec cif, or CDRWin cue/bin combos) and use md5 to verify accuracy of my recreated files.
Anything else (besides d/ling he files again) that will work? How about from Windows?
