Linux problem: mounting NTFS devices automatically

I run Conectiva Linux 6.0 (a brazilian distrib. based on red hat).

I want to mount all my devs automatically, editing the /etc/fstab . When I insert the line to mount the ntfs dev, I get an error message during boot, telling me that fstab line number... is bad.

I can mount ntfs partitions, but manually, as root and read only. Users can't mount it.

Any help, flags to add, documentation about it, etc...?

Try posting a copy of your fstab here so we can review it.

Yap you should post your /etc/fstab so that we can get a look at it.

But I think that ntfs support in kernel 2.2.x is only readonly, so you should add
the flag &quot;ro&quot; to fstab line....for the normal users to mount use &quot;user&quot; or &quot;owner&quot;
