linux ppc750 - data address breakpoint register

has anyone used this? i'm trying to break on an access to an address. i set dabr but i dont see any exception or anything.

i set it to (addr >> 2) | 3. also tried ORing with 7 to set the map bit and also set physical address.

anyone??
