Linux OS for websurfing and printing to HP Deskjet

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a Linux OS that simply "works out of the 'box'" and is sufficient for just surfing the web and printing to a HP Deskjet? Flash and PDF's would be nice, too. Would be installed on
a HP Pavilion a1750e
[ AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ dual-core 2.0GHz + 1GB DDR2-533MHz dual channel SDRAM + Integrated NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE ]

Thanks!
Cheers

Ubuntu is still considered the friendliest linux afaik. It'll handle all of what you just mentioned and shouldn't have any problems running on the hardware. Make sure you do the initial install + updates over ethernet though, frequently wifi uses proprietary drivers that have to be (auto) downloaded separately.

Ubuntu, Mint, Mandriva, Fedora and many others

Second this. All of the major distros have come a long way in the last few years.

I do think Ubuntu is one of the easiest to install and get started with, though. I think that the last install I did in a VMware virtual machine took 15 minutes to get from start to the point of downloading updates within Ubuntu.
