I was able to get in on the toshiba s123 (exact same as the more popular S103 except with the combo drive) laptop deal. I want to dual boot it with Linux (gonna use partition magic to shrink the partition then I guess install Mandrake). Am I going to run into any problems -- I heard Toshiba's weren't the best laptops for Linux. Has anyone done this already? Is it as simple as just installing Mandrake with all the default settings, or am I going to have to tweak this thing like crazy (I am pretty bad at using Linux so that might be difficult).

* DVD-ROM Drive: Yes ( Who is the manufacturer? What speed?)
* Display: 14.1" TFT active matrix (What is the standard/ max resolution?)
* Graphics: ATI M6-C graphics controller ( ????)

* USB Ports: 3
* Battery Type: 8-cell, rechargeable, removable Li-Ion battery
* Battery Life: Up to 2 hours

You should try knoppix before thinking of installing a full-fledged distro.
