Linux on my network? newbie question

I currently have 3 computers running microsoft networking. My main computer is running ICS.
I have just installed Red Hat 7.1 on my fourth computer and was wondering if it is possible to not only connect to my MS Network but how should I go about getting internet to it? I have look in my manuals but didn't see much about this.
Any help/direction to another site that covers this would be great. Ohh and another thing, I have installed a 3-Com 3c509 NIC in it, I get a light on the card but no link light on my hub, anyone what I am doing wrong. Thanks for everything 🙂

I'm not sure why the light wouldn't go on in the hub, the cable might be bad or you do not have everything set up correctly on the Linux box.

To connect to ICS set the machine up like this:
IP: 192.168.0.XXX where XXX is something not used on your network
SM: 255.255.255.0
GW: 192.168.0.1 (.1 is the main ICS machine)
DNS1: 192.168.0.1
DNS2: Blank, or another DNS server that you know.

that should work good, actually you can usually DHCP the address, I know Win2K Pro ICS installs DHCP, I don't remember if W98/WME does.

Thanks Tasslex 😀

As for the hub I have tried a few cables but no luck. I am going to switch it out for a Linksys and see what happens, I think it's time to put the 3c509 to rest 😉
