Linux on Compaq Presario V5305WM

So I got my $400 laptop and was thinking about throwing Linux on it, before I go through the ordeal, though, I was wondering if anyone has tried. I imagine it wouldn't be too bad to get it mostly working - I worry about the Broadcom wireless card though.

I don't have one to play with, alas; but it looks like it ought to work decently. The Xpress 200M is said to work fine with the ati driver in recent Xorg releases. I don't touch flgrx, so I'm not sure about that. It looks like people are using NDISwrapper on the network card; but I think the Broadcom should be getting the reverse engineered driver fairly soon.

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=289322 seems pretty optimistic about it as well.
