Oh ... one more thing ...

Whats the main difference with <portfw> and <autofw> ?
Are there any security risk in using one or the other?

At the moment ... The only way I could get my FTP servers running is by using the <autofw> option ...

That'll be my LAST question on this matter ... I promise ;)

Thanks for all the GUYS who've helped me here.

As long as you're using 2.2+ kernels, stick with portfw. They both perform more or less the same function, but there have been some issues with autofw relating to kernel stability. Try http://ipmasq.cjb.net for more information.

From my reading autofw is used when it is an undefined protocol, which ftp certainly isn't. I find it odd that that would work and portfw wouldn't.

Any risks? Other than the mentioned kernel stability issues? Not really.
