Hi all, hypothetical question for you.
Let's say that I used tar and gzip to back up my config files in my /home. Let's say that I also excluded from the tar my giant ~/Music folder.
If I were to untar that file, overwriting all my config files, would my ~/Music folder be wiped or preserved? My thinking is that it would be preserved, but this is the kind of thing that I want to be sure about.
