Linux Mozilla question

Ok installed Redhat Linux 9 it comes with a old version of Mozilla. So I downloaded and installed a newer version (all worked fine) Even got the desktop links working good. BUT....... every time I click on a link to another web page the old version opens up. How do I make the new version the default version?

I presume that your using GNOME desktop.

I don't know exactly were it is at, but in the desktop settings there should be something for the "prefered" application settings. This is what Gnome uses to decide what browser (among others types of apps) to open up stuff with.

Look for that and see if that helps.
