Linux Mouse Question

I just installed Mandrake 9.0, and I can;t get my Wireless Intellimouse Explorer to work. When it's installing, it works fine. But then when Linux boots up, it will only move up and down. When I plug my Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 in, that works fine. Does anybody know how to fix my mouse problem?

Try the generic ps/2 driver first. There is also a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer driver under misc as well. But, I suggest you try the generic one first to make sure there is no other issue going on.

I had the same problem with my mouse (same exact model) and nothing seemed to fix it; I eventually decided to go back to RedHat 7.3, but if there is a fix for it let me know.
