I just installed linux redhat 8 and i did not create a user account. When linux boots up it asking for my user ID and pw. I tried typing administrator and the password that I had put in during the install but it does not work. Can anyone tell me how to login?

Not sure how familiar you are with Linux, but most of the time, you don't want to log in as root, unless you need to configure something.:);):(

I am not familiar with linux at all. I did create a user account though. The install went great but I can tell that I am going to have to spend a lot of time learning how to use it.

I personally found that a big part of the fun.

Is that the part that makes me a masochist or is it the part that I found OpenBSD to be an easier/better environment? ;)

Just a side note, it may show you how often you should probably be using the root account, but I forgot my root password on my main machine...
