im finally gonna set aside some time to build a linuxfromscratch system. however, im certainly not gonna follow every step 🙂 i want to play around with some kernel hardening tools. what have u folks used? id like to get a fairly secure 2.4.x kernel and use it on my route/ipnat box.

ive been looking at:
openwall only 2.2.x though
rsbac
lids

and id probable be running tripwire, snort, and maybe spade. what have u guys used that you found interesting? this wont be a production box so i can use whatever i want on it.
