Linux kernel 2.6.0-test6 is out!

Well, instead of keeping it all to your self tell some of us dial up users how it is??? I would love to know what you think on it and such.

Not using 2.6.0-test6 yet, still using test5, but in general, I haven't noticed that much difference between 2.4 and 2.6.
This is just for workstation usage on my crappy P3-866 though, if you're running an 8-way server the results are likely to be different 😉

Gonna be be trying out the -mm patchset next.

For desktops 2.6 with -mm patches makes big difference, unless you used ck or other patches with 2.4.
I don't like I/O sheduler, it allows programs to starve for i/o, while hogs (like copying huge files) take everything... (in general, not really specific to 2.6).

BTW LNX is great patch collection (but not out for test6 yet).
