I have had problems with getting Slackware 9 working enough to boot it off of a stripped software ATA raid setup.
I have had problems posted HERE and nobody can seem to help. I finally used a test drive last night to install slack 9 and compile up 2.4.21 with ATARAID support for my Promise Fasttrack controler. This kernel acts different now as it doesn't freeze on boot with the striped set hooked into the controller, but it just doesn't detect any software defined (in PDC bios) raid sets.
Is it just me or does ATARAID support in linux just blow?
