Linux home LAN

I am trying to network my XP pc and my Linux one. I got to the point were I can share docs on the Linux box, and can see it on the XP box, but can't see the XP on the Linux.

I get Error - Konqueror.

The lisa daemon does not appear to be running.

In order to use the LAN Browser the lisa daemon must be
installed and activated by the system administrator

I looked to install that but could not find it.

P.S. It is XP Pro, Linux Mandrake 9.1 KDE 3.1

You will need to install Samba in order for this to work.

Be warned, Samba can be very annoying sometimes, but just setting up simple file sharing and browsing shouldn't be a bid deal.

sorry about the two posts but i am new to AnandTech forums and atfirst did not see the Networking Catagry
