I just installed Suse Linux on my PC, but I am having trouble getting a bootloader to work. I have XP on my C: drive and I have Suse on a separate HD (E: ). After I installed Suse it started up and I played with it for a while, so I know it works. But if I reboot it will automatically boot into XP without asking me which OS I want. I installed GRUB, but I think it installed on the E: drive.

Help!

If you booted into it once, you should be able to boot it again. Odd...

Do you have the BIOS option to choose which hard drive to boot from?

Yeah, I changed the Linux HD to boot first and my system hangs. If I change it back to the XP drive booting first it boots fine.

Boot from the Suse CD/DVD and check for a "repair" option. Reinstall grub if the option is there, or better yet install lilo.
