Linux gurus I need your help - deleted ext2 partition

Linflas

Lifer
I have an external USB HD formatted ext2. I accidentally deleted the partition by leaving the drive plugged into a workstation I was doing a new install of XP on. I stopped right after I did the L to delete the partition so hopefully I have a good chance of recovering it as nothing was written to the disk. Any guidance on how I might go about restoring the partition would be much appreciated or am I SOL?

Got lucky, I used the gpart live cd which has a program on it called testdisk. It was actually quite easy to recover and all I have left to do now is run an fsck on it to make sure everything is ok.
