I recently installed GAIM and it used the AIM database to get my buddy list. However, now when I get onto windows, my buddy list is gone from the name. I reload the list, its back, then when I reboot into linux and back again, its gone again. What can I do to use the same name in both OS's and still keep my list?

When you setup your account information, you have either the choice of using the OSCAR or TOC protocol's. Try using TOC and list should appear without any intervention..Regards

Yes. They are both trying to share it apparently, and Windows doesnt like that.

Ahh, ok. I always just keep the list locally for windows and pull it off the server when I use toc.

Try using a couple other clients and see if they cause the same problem. Try tac (or toc I cant remember). Its a tcl script command line aim compatible program. Thats what I use.
