Linux file server on a win 2k3 network

🙁 Hi, I am a student in a networking class and I am having trouble with having access to create my shares on my linux file server I tried \\servername\share\%username% that does not seem to work, is it possible to do it from my win 2k3 server or should I just do it with samba?
