I installed Linux Red Hat 7.1 and in the same harddrive I have Win 98(Se). In windows I download File.pdf. I know that Linux instead of .pdf extension use .xpdf. I moved the file from WIN to LInux... But when I open the file in Linux(I can't open). How can I open the file File.pdf(in Win98) in Linux(.xpdf).

Thanks

I've never heard of Linux ever using the xpdf extension (though xpdf is the name of the most common PDF viewer in Unix). Either way I've always viewed files w/ the .pdf extension. Your problems may be font related. I'm not sure how PDF works, but I'm pretty sure it can have font-specific text and then images (which might be pictures or images of words). The text normally won't show up in Linux unless you install the Windows true type fonts (not hard. look it up). Then you *SHOULD* just be able to view the file with xpdf or KDVI or something else similiar.
