Using an Intellimouse Explorer USB under Mandrake 8.1. Works fine, but the fourth and fifth buttons do odd things and the wheel doesn't always behave as expected. Does any program offer the functionality of Intellipoint under Linux? I'd like to be able to click the third button and scroll a webpage quickly for example.

Anyone? Button 4 seems to be mapped to #2 by default, and #5 to #3. StarOffice 5.2 though has better support for the wheel.

I've "heard" that it might be possible thru your XFree86 files but I've never been that daring just yet. I use a Logitech cordless Freedom Pro so I think we've got about the same mouse. My middle button works great, but my inner thumb button, that usually defaults to double-click in Windows, has no function in RedHat 7.2. But I'd like to hear if anyone else has any theories.
