I've just discovered elisa. It's a media center program for Linux. It's still under heavy development, but it's great!

Anyone else using it?

Nope, haven't taken a look at it yet.

I've visited it's website before though, I know about it. So it's getting closer to being usable now?

Something like this would be pretty good for Linux. Mythtv is nice but it's to much of handfull for most people.

I came across LinuxMCE while researching for a media center setup.

LinuxMCE is basically open sourced Pluto. LinuxMCE also supports client/server configuration. Clients can net boot from the server. Here is a demo video. I could install it successfully but it didn't recognize my ATI HDTV Wonder.

I need to improve my acquaintance with Linux before I can successfully use LinuxMCE. But for now I like MediaPortal better, which runs on Windows2000 and higher. MediaPortal also supports client/server configuration for TV but client machines must be stand alone installations of Windows. MediaPortal is still in beta stages.
