Linux dnet problems

Hi, i'm trying to run the linux dnet client, and I get this error when starting:

" Net::failed to resolve name "us.v27.distributed.net"
ENOENT: no entry for requested name"

I'm running mandrake 8.0 and I haven't upgraded the kernel from 2.4.3-20mdk. Anyone know what's going on?

As soon as I can log in i'll dump 8500+ packets to TA 🙂 (too lazy for email flushing, and I want this working normally)

Does your linux have info in the /etc/resolv.conf for your ISP's DNS? It's good to put that in /etc/hosts file too. Normally, resolv.conf has entries like:

search {domainsyouuse}
nameserver {ipofdns1}
nameserver {ipofdns2}

You need that so your linux can resolve the Dnet pproxy hostnames. If you don't have the DNS info readily available, you could try a nslookup to grab one of the Dnet round-robin pproxies' IPs and use the IP (rather than name) to flush through for your keyserver entry, until you get the DNS info entered.
