Linux distro choice for a netbook

Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM, 10.1" screen (I'd guess the resolution is 1024x600). Should I be choosing a particular distribution which is user-friendly and optimised for netbooks, or customising one to make it more suitable?

I've installed various Linux distros a fair number of times before. I wouldn't call myself a complete newbie (I've solved some problems with a bit of search engine help), and I can edit configuration files as long as I can install nano.

Just use a desktop that isn't very heavy. I like Xubuntu on netbooks. If you feel like playing, Bodhi is nifty, but E17 can take a lot of configuration to get comfortable. My short list is Xubuntu, Lubuntu, Crunchbang, and Bodhi.
