Lycoris Desktop

It looks ALOT like a hybrid KDE/WinXP desktop. Wondering if it's worth the download. Is it stable, and is it good? It looks "Professionally" done, and actually looks better than KDE In my opinion.

It's $29.95 to purchase, but Linux Compatible has graciously provided us with CD iso's :)

grab it if you want. I am curious to it's functionality, etc. But kinda hard to download off of 56k :(

Linux Compatible downloads section

Thanks

It looks pretty neat for those coming fromt the Windows world and want a familiar looking desktop. Personally though I usually end up making my desktop look more like an OS X/WinXP hybrid (take the best of both worlds and have the desktop how I want it).

Shamrock , I just installed it yesterday and I love it . I downloaded Opera today - I like it better than Mozilla . It feels very XPish to me . There are familiar looking icons on the desktop similar to Windows My Computer , Network Neighborhood , and Windows Explorer . There is even a "Start" like menu on the lower left of the taskbar , you will feel at home with . Now I need to get a sound card that is compatible and I will make this my internet surfing machine for sure !

That is why it is worth grabbing right now while it is still possible!
They are going to get sued by the uncle Bill very very soon,

Lcoris Destop L/X,
Ive been using since build 44 Redmond Linux it's sweet & simple, Fast and STABLE.
If you looking for a great OS try it.
I bought Redmond build 44, then about 4 mo.s latter they sent 46 amethyst to me free of charge!!
Beryl is to be out in about six months, and will accept previous product ID's!
Build 50 is out for beta testing, I'm using 49 now easy to use and very stable, I've had no lockups or freezes. Sweet & simple OS
