Linux: command to view drive info

I would like to view my hard drive's info using the shell. What is the command to view the various info ( free space, total space, format type, etc. etc.)

Type df at the prompt.

fdisk -lu /dev/hda, replacing the "hda" as appropriate, may also be of some use.

df -h makes it convert raw byte numbers to the person-friendly format of say, 15MB, 10GB, etc..
