i have a few boxes im tryin to use for seti crunchin using lrp linux floppys the problem i have is not being able to route them through setiqueue i end up with the same error code on every box -code 38
i use this for getting trough proxy "setiathome -proxy 192.168.0.1:5517 -verbose" i have also tried orangekids proxy with same results
they all work with no proxy setings so i assume its a setiqueue problem

Anyone have any ideas? I'm not familiar enough with running SETI on linux to help 😱

bumpers for some help! 😀

Welcome to the forum TBIRD1 glad to have you aboard 😀

WU!!WU!!WU!!

Firstly, welcome to the Anandtech forums TBIRD1 😀 I hope you enjoy your stay 🙂

In order for Setiqueue to send WUs to Seti clients, you must first download a WU direct from Berkeley and send the result through the proxy.

If it is possible to go directly to Berkeley to download, then that would be the first thing to try! 🙂

If not, then i do not know about Linux, but another i'll push it to the top for you 🙂

Confused

I'll go get Poof ... she runs Linux. So stand by for some 1st class help.

And welcome to the AnandTech DC Forum TBIRD1. We are honored that your 1st post is here. 🙂

I also hope you consider joining our SETI TEAM. 😉

Sorry... Been out of town for work the past couple days. Couldn't get in to check the forums or PMs. 🙁

Not sure about the deal with the "key" info and being forced to manually modify the user_info.sah.... That seems rather odd unless the Seti directory doesn't have the correct write permissions. 😕
