We have one called SpecViewPerf v7. link It works well, but we are looking for something that will really tax the graphics card. Are there any out there?

*shudders* asking for something like 3DMark.....

When Doom3 comes out, that should tax it pretty well :)

just something in that vein. I don't use the 3dmark packages so I don't know what's wrong with them.

At work we have some firegl2 cards that we need to test in linux, so we're looking for something in addition to specviewperf.

You've got a relatively limited selection of benchmarks for Linux, but I'd probably look towards Indy3D, Maya 3 Test Center, and SpecAPC as being reasonably good Pro3D benchmarks for Linux.

I'm not altogether sure what you mean by tests "like 3DMark"... are you implying your looking for benchmarks of gaming performance? If so then you'll be hard pressed to find any that the FireGL 2 is compatible with. While still a very respectable board for 3D Animation, CAD, and to a somewhat lesser degree for DCC, scientific visualization apps it's hardly a graphics card that's going to perform at all well in any game as I'm sure your aware.

We use the card for animation. I'm looking to stress test the card and I want to benchmark fps in the tests as well. We have some SW packages that sometimes don't interact well, so I want to stress test the card to rule out HW issues. I'm not looking for a gaming bench, it's just 3dmark was the only similar bench that I knew of on the windows side.

Thanks for the reply
