Linux as a desktop....

I finally ditched my Win2k gaming machine and now have only a linux box for a stationary computer at home. My lappy has a GeForce4 and I have a docking station so I'm set. Has anyone else gotten rid of Microsoft for their primary system?

I'm still trying to get rid of the graphics difference in Linux. It doesn't seem to be as pleasing for some reason. I'm also trying to get used to the difference in the mouse pointer tracking. I can definitely tell they differ from Windows...

I'm using RedHat 8.

I put redhat 9 on my home box, still need winxp for work on my laptop.

just takes configuration to make the mouse feel the same as in windows

as for the appearance, you can customize it to look better than windows


i still prefer windows though

I'm in the same boat... I have to have windows for Netware Administration.
