Linux and WinXP dual boot...need some expert help!

Hey guys...

Currently, I have a dual boot system happening with W2k and Mandrake Linux. My Hdd is set up as follows:
18 Gb NTFS (W2K install) --> Primary partition
35 Gb FAT32 (data)
7 Gb (all the stuff with Mandrake)

I am currently using LILO as the boot manager. This was done automatically by the mandrake install when I did the dual boot the first time, and I am not that familiar with linux and how lilo.conf is organized in the MBR...

anyhow, my question is that I would like format my W2k partition and install WinXP on it. Can I just format my primary partition and just do the install?? (as I don't want to change my FAT32 and linux partitions)...would LILO still be able to determine how to manage the OS'es??

Any help would be appreciated!

Windows will overwrite the master boot record. You'll need to use a rescue floppy / CD to load Mandrake, then reinstall LILO.

Shouldn't be a problem, I dual boot Windows XP and Debian
