I have mandrake 7.2 ready and waiting to do a clean dual boot install win 2k and mandrake the only problem is that i want to do my gaming on linux i am a big CounterStrike fan and Starcraft .. are they able to run on linux or only windows?? if so can anyone point me in the right direction to which websites to look at it would be greatly appreciated.. also i need to wipe out my whole windows partition because i have 2 partitions on my Harddrive a C: and a D: both on the same 20 gig. and i wanted to merge them into one so i could install linux on one part but for some reason partition magic seems to freeze up my computer when i go to merge them. i don't know what the deal with that is so i was going to just reformat everything but another problem is that i need my Cd-key for counterstrike out of regestry b/c i lost my jewel case i tried looking in regedit but i couldn't find anything anyone with counterstrike any info?? thanks.

All your Linuxgames are belong to us!

There are HOWTO's there that tell you how to get Half-Life and StarCraft working. I haven't tried either one myself. I have no idea if CS will work once you do get HL working.

Dunno what to tell you about partition magic. Perhaps give FIPS a chance.. A free non-destructive partition tool.. You can find it in the dosutils dir of RedHat..

thanks guys i will check this out.. and get back to you if i got any more questions.. Anandtech forums RULE! 🙂
