Linux/2K Dualboot

Might be a question answered a hundred times but here goes..

I would like to install Linux on my W2K box.
Can I just edit the boot.ini to make it be able to dualboot? The partition that linux will go on is definitely past the 1024 cylinder mark. Or do I just stick to the old boot disk method? I really don't want to crash my W2K system since that is the only way I can go online. My USB DSL modem is not compatible with linux (yet.. I hope).

Thanks

If you want to install LILO (the Linux boot loader), it will be able to dual boot for you just fine. It's not hampered by the 1024 cylinder limitation.

I also heard that Win2k has a boot loader that should be able to manage this. I've never tried it though, and I don't ever trust Windows to do anything right...
